FAQs

  • Where do I meet for therapy?

I have a virtual practice based in California only. I do not see clients in person.

  • Do I prescribe medication?

Nope, I don’t. If you are interested/curious, I have a network of trusted psychiatrists I am happy to refer you to.

  • What's your therapy approach/vibe?

I am integrative which means I utilize different approaches (person-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, humanistic, etc) that align with my personality so we can have a human experience together. I am conversational and curious. I enjoy empowering people to believe in themselves and challenge to show up for themselves with care and accountability.

I also like to believe I'm funny, so you won't be able to avoid too much of that. :)

  • What are the Office Hours?

Currently I am in office M,T,Th,F from 9am-2pm and Weds: 9-1pm.

I am available via email until 5pm M-F and any messages after 5pm will be responded to the next business day.

Weekend emails are responded to as I am available and/or if it is scheduling-related for an upcoming session.

  • Cancellation Policy

My cancellation policy is pretty standard. I require 24 hour notice for a scheduled cancellation. I do charge a fee for late cancellations or missed appointments.

  • Can I have therapy with you anywhere (out of state, out of country)

Although virtual therapy gives us lots of flexibility, as an LMFT in California I am only allowed to provide therapy to clients that are currently IN California.

If you are out of state or out of country we would have to postpone until you return to California.

  • What if I realize I might need a different therapist or approach?

First of all, this is NORMAL and can be completely valid. Whether you notice the fit isn’t there anymore or you need a different specialty or more focused care, you have the power to choose what’s best for you and I’m here to help!

  • Will I know when I finished therapy?

What I’ve found is, most times YES! Whether it’s a direct conversation or something either of us brings up. Yes, we typically can feel the confidence to know when it’s time to end a chapter of therapy (it doesn’t have to be forever unless it is). It’s an exciting realization, own it!

  • What about Crisis Support or After Hours

I am not available after office hours (after 5pm) or on the weekend for crisis support or emergency services.
If you are in a crisis or need emergency support please call or text 988 or click
